Bay Area team will defend national title
at junior wheelchair basketball tournament

SAN JOSE (March 2, 2005) – The Bay Cruisers from Berkeley will defend their national title March 10-13 in San Jose when they compete against 15 other teams in the 2005 National Junior Wheelchair Basketball Tournament in San Jose.

Led by Mark Booth of San Jose, the Bay Cruisers represent BORP, the Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program, who won the title for 13- to 18-year-old wheelchair basketball teams last year.

Players and coaches from all teams in the championships will be available for interviews at the tournament’s opening ceremonies at the Event Center at San Jose State from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, March 10.
